The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau (ConVis) is a private, non-profit, corporation composed of approximately 1,100 member organizations, businesses, local governments, and individuals seeking a better community through the visitor industry. The site reflects the fun and sunny San Diego destination featuring vibrant imagery, engaging content, and interactive maps to help promote and market the San Diego region as a preferred vacation and meeting destination.
I was the creative lead responsible for all the creative from discovery & concepting to art direction & design of the site including a light-mobile website. This website was a massive project involving over 400 total wireframe pages, 75+ PSD files, & several keynote prototype/demos. The site consisted of three large interactive pieces. “The Happy Mixer” which allowed users to discover various fun things to do in San Diego, “Interactive Maps” to explore San Diego within a map view, and “MyTrips”, a tool which allowed users to add various things to do unto their personal briefcase and build their itinerary through a simple, drag-and-drop interface. Unfortunately, not all of the pieces made it to final development, but the core site was built and launched this year.
Below is an early demo of the site for presentation.
Below are a few screenshots from the project.
